On the Frankincense trail

I absolutely LOVED Kate Humble’s fantastic BBC2 travelog ‘The Frankincense Trail’ following the ancient spice route across the Middle East.

The journey took Kate across 2,000 miles of desert and through the Levant and Egypt, ending in a Bedouin desert camp in Sinai (the same I’d visited with Sis last year).

Kate’s one of my favourite presenters anyway (particularly as she’s such an experienced scuba diver!) but she was also a wonderful narrator and incredibly gracious guest, thoughtfully observing the customs and ettiquite of each country.

Can’t wait to buy the DVD!
